Fundraiser Recognised For Her Achievements

A Volunteer fundraiser who has raised tens of thousands of pounds for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution was formally recognised by the charity recently.

Lifeboat Guild stalwart Nancy Bailey was presented with a gold badge as recognition of her twenty years of dedicated service.

Mrs Bailey who recently retired as Guild Honorary Secretary has been a tireless fundraiser both in the station shop and numerous events throughout the region.

She was presented with her award by the institutions fundraising manager Rebecca Connor at the stations annual Lifeboat service on July 6th.  Minehead Lifeboat Guild Chairman Tony Wood also presented Mrs Bailey with a framed photograph of the current volunteer Lifeboat Crew.

Minehead Lifeboat Station Chairman Bill McNab commented “ Nancy’s volunteer spirit personifies the RNLI ethos and her efforts over the last twenty years have had a massive effect on the funds raised throughout the region”

Our picture shows Mrs Bailey receiving her framed crew photograph from Mr Wood with Mrs Connor looking on.
